As best we can tell this is compatible with the Inspiron 3500 but not the 3000 or 3200 or 3800. Also not compatible with any higher Insipron model numbers 4000, 5000, 7000, 8000 etc. Laptop locks into the port replicator in seconds and then you have the convenience of using full size peripherals.
